Road Trip!
This weekend was fun! Beth and I decided to take a road trip up to Stockton to visit our friend Joy. Since Annie, my dog, hasn't been doing so good I decided to take her along with us. I left work around noon and drove out to Beth's house in LA. I tried to make it there before all the crummy LA traffic and I did! I got to her house a little bit early, so Annie and I just chilled and watched 'Days of our Lives' - I used to be so addicted to that show! I also took a couple pictures of Annie in her cute little traveling outfit:
Anyway, the three of us set out on Friday afternoon, heading North to see Joy. The drive went well, we had to stop a couple times for Annie to pee and to fill up the car with gas.
...but we made it to Stockton by 8pm. We didn't do much the first night, just got settled, visited with Joy and her family and then went to bed. We were tired. But Geneva, Joy's daughter, was so excited to see Annie! She was letting her sleep with her pillow, blanket and stuffed animal - so cute!
We woke up early on Saturday and headed out to San Francisco for the day. Annie stayed behind with Joy's husband and her two kids. Her daughter Geneva was so excited to spend the day with her...she had it all planned out - super cute! So we drove into the City and started our time off at H&M. We found some good deals! Then we went to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory on the top floor of Macy's that overlooked the square - nice view! We sat outside and enjoyed the nice weather and the view...and ate some really yummy food!

After lunch we did a bit more shopping at Urban Outfitters, Gap, and Forever 21. We were exhausted from all the hard work shopping! heehee :) So around 6pm (I think) we headed back to Stockton. We stopped at Panera Bread for some take-out and had dinner back at the house all together with Joy's husband and kids. Once the kids were all settled in bed, the girls: Beth, Joy and I, watched 'Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants'. We were hoping to go see the 2nd one the next day, but found out later that it wasn't playing in theaters anymore...so sad for us! :( But it was fun watching the movie. Then it was time for bed!
Sunday we got up and spent some time in Lodi...a city nearby. The place was pretty deserted, but it was a beautiful day and we enjoyed walking down the main street and sitting in front of Starbucks people-watching. We enjoyed taking pictures of ourselves too!

After about an hour or so of that, Joy's husband and kids joined us for lunch at this restaurant where we were at. They had super yummy burgers and fries! Here's a pic of the restaurant from across the street...we were sitting on park benches enjoying the nice weather...
While waiting for our lunch to arrive, Geneva and I had fun coloring. She is such a cute little girl! I enjoyed spending time with her.
The day was starting to come to an end. We packed up our stuff and said our goodbyes. Then Beth, Annie and I hit the road. It was already 5pm and we had a long drive ahead. We arrived back at Beth's around 10pm...and then I had another hours drive to my house. I was so tired when I got home, all I did was unload the car, feed my kiddos (Cali and Annie - the pets) and then went to bed. It was a super fun weekend, but I'm glad to be home again. I'm tired from all the traveling lately!
Oh, and PS....Annie hasn't had a seizure in 4 days!!! Our prayers were answered! It must have been the food she was eating, because she's been doing great since we changed it! Yippee!!! Annie is a happy camper now, and so am I!! :) THANK YOU to everyone who prayed for her!!!!!!!!

I don't know what I would do if I had to put her down. I know God had us find each other for a reason...I love her so much. Anyway, I've been sad watching Annie go through this...I've cried a few times now when she has bad ones. I just hate seeing her in pain. Please pray for Annie's healing!

LA with Beth and Joy
After dinner the girls wanted to try out this club they heard about called Les Deux. We got there a little after they opened (10pm) and started to wait to be let in. Our feet were hurting, we were tired, and after an hour of waiting we were thinking of leaving. Well after an hour of waiting, and starting to feel bad about ourselves as everyone else was being let in but us, these two nice guys got us in with them. The place was cool, they had an outdoor patio area where the DJ was and they had fire dancers too. We hung out for awhile, maybe an hour or two, and then headed home to Beth's house. My feet were KILLING ME! I had the wrong shoes on for standing all night! Oh well, I had fun with my girlies.
Sunday morning, after the girlie sleepover at Beth's, we met up with Joy's brother Alex at Millies for breakfast. I had some interesting biscuits and gravy (not the traditional gravy...it was weird). After breakfast we all headed out to Rodeo Drive and walked around there for a bit...Joy wanted to do some of the "LA" type stuff as she's from up North. After Rodeo, we shopped along Melrose for a couple hours. Melrose is more our level of shopping. We hit a couple fashion stores and a couple vintage stores. We had fun doing a little people watching at Starbucks too.
After our day in LA, the girls went back to Beth's and relaxed, chatted, ate some more food, and Beth and I wrapped up our travel plans for our trip this week. Then I headed home.
I had a great time with my girls this weekend. I went to college with these girls, and I am so glad that we're still such good friends after all these years! I love them so much!!! :)

5k Disney Race
as we were going through california adventure
My Friday....
The day started off awaiting the Plumbers who were going to arrive at my house by 8:30am to start working on putting in a gas line for my new washer/dryer. Well, they didn't arrive until about 10:30am, and then didn't get started till around noon. So what I thought was going to be a morining off work, ended up being the whole day. The plumbers worked hard all day, and it wasn't till about 6:30pm that they realized they didn't have all the parts they needed to finish the job. So one left...and came back empty-handed. His warehouse was closed couldn't get the part he needed. So they left for the evening, with a plan to arrive on Saturday (today) to finish the job (which they did...it all works and its so exciting to be able to do laundry at home!!). So that was my morning and afternoon, and early evening.
Also that afternoon, my little Annie had quite a few seizures. Poor thing has been having them a lot lately. She had 5 within one hour!!! :( It could be that she got too excited with the plumbers there, but its really sad watching her go through them. Pray she is healed!
Later that night I headed over to my cousin's house for Paige's birthday dinner. Cathy cooked, and it was GREAT! I miss home-cooked meals! Yeah, Yeah, I could cook...but I don't. :) Anyway, dinner was tasty! After dinner we went swimming and I had fun playing with the girls in the pool. It was a fun night, and I think Paigey had a good time too :) Happy Birthday, again, Paigey :)
