This weekend was fun! Beth and I decided to take a road trip up to Stockton to visit our friend Joy. Since Annie, my dog, hasn't been doing so good I decided to take her along with us. I left work around noon and drove out to Beth's house in LA. I tried to make it there before all the crummy LA traffic and I did! I got to her house a little bit early, so Annie and I just chilled and watched 'Days of our Lives' - I used to be so addicted to that show! I also took a couple pictures of Annie in her cute little traveling outfit:Anyway, the three of us set out on Friday afternoon, heading North to see Joy. The drive went well, we had to stop a couple times for Annie to pee and to fill up the car with gas....but we made it to Stockton by 8pm. We didn't do much the first night, just got settled, visited with Joy and her family and then went to bed. We were tired. But Geneva, Joy's daughter, was so excited to see Annie! She was letting her sleep with her pillow, blanket and stuffed animal - so cute!We woke up early on Saturday and headed out to San Francisco for the day. Annie stayed behind with Joy's husband and her two kids. Her daughter Geneva was so excited to spend the day with her...she had it all planned out - super cute! So we drove into the City and started our time off at H&M. We found some good deals! Then we went to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory on the top floor of Macy's that overlooked the square - nice view! We sat outside and enjoyed the nice weather and the view...and ate some really yummy food! After lunch we did a bit more shopping at Urban Outfitters, Gap, and Forever 21. We were exhausted from all the hard work shopping! heehee :) So around 6pm (I think) we headed back to Stockton. We stopped at Panera Bread for some take-out and had dinner back at the house all together with Joy's husband and kids. Once the kids were all settled in bed, the girls: Beth, Joy and I, watched 'Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants'. We were hoping to go see the 2nd one the next day, but found out later that it wasn't playing in theaters anymore...so sad for us! :( But it was fun watching the movie. Then it was time for bed! Sunday we got up and spent some time in Lodi...a city nearby. The place was pretty deserted, but it was a beautiful day and we enjoyed walking down the main street and sitting in front of Starbucks people-watching. We enjoyed taking pictures of ourselves too! After about an hour or so of that, Joy's husband and kids joined us for lunch at this restaurant where we were at. They had super yummy burgers and fries! Here's a pic of the restaurant from across the street...we were sitting on park benches enjoying the nice weather...While waiting for our lunch to arrive, Geneva and I had fun coloring. She is such a cute little girl! I enjoyed spending time with her.The day was starting to come to an end. We packed up our stuff and said our goodbyes. Then Beth, Annie and I hit the road. It was already 5pm and we had a long drive ahead. We arrived back at Beth's around 10pm...and then I had another hours drive to my house. I was so tired when I got home, all I did was unload the car, feed my kiddos (Cali and Annie - the pets) and then went to bed. It was a super fun weekend, but I'm glad to be home again. I'm tired from all the traveling lately!
Oh, and PS....Annie hasn't had a seizure in 4 days!!! Our prayers were answered! It must have been the food she was eating, because she's been doing great since we changed it! Yippee!!! Annie is a happy camper now, and so am I!! :) THANK YOU to everyone who prayed for her!!!!!!!!
