Tea Time

Gramma Vasquez turns
E I G H T Y T W O
We celebrated my Gramma's birthday today with a tea party! Her lady friends and family came together for this fun party she wanted. We had yummy tea food, like mini sandwiches, fruit, desserts, and of course TEA! We had a great time!

Aunt Linda - Gramma - my Mom - Auntie Lin - Aunt Beckie
(Gramma with her three daughter-in-laws and only daughter, Lin) And then there were Gramma's granddaughters...
Diana - Lacie (soon-to-be granddaughter) - and MeGramma loves all those cute tea cups, hats, and anything Victorian...her house is like a museum of "isn't that cute!" So it was a perfect location for the party. There were tables set up around the room, with beautiful settings of antique dishes and tea cups. We enjoyed a few hours of socializing at our tables, eating the yummy food, drinking our tea (which I just realized I enjoy), and playing BINGO! Yep, that's right, BINGO! It was fun, even though I didn't win. A wonderful afternoon indeed.

Gramma, I'm so glad that we've been able to spend so much time together this last year. I love that we have grown a special friendship and bond that I hope will only grow stronger in the years to come! Happy 82nd Birthday!!

Vasquez Valentine

I just love decorating my house and having parties! (I'm definitely my Gramma's granddaughter! LOL!) So of course I took advantage of this lovely holiday that is upon us called Valentine's Day! With all the cute colors, hearts, and cupcakes, my house is all decked out! And since it was a lot of work doing all the decorating, of course I needed to have a party! So I invited some of the local Vasquez ladies (my two cousins, my two aunts, and my gramma) over for a fun girly night! Yesterday, I spent the day baking and decorating cupcakes and brownies that we gorged on at the party that night. When they arrived, we ate lots of pizza, goodies and ice cream, spent some time in good conversation, and then played some wii. A great night indeed! I'm so glad that I was able to spend this special holiday with the girlies I love!

super bowl sunday

Yesterday was Super Bowl Sunday...
I was invited to a party at my Auntie Lin's house, and spent the afternoon cheering on the Saints. And because I don't know much about football, I chose that team to cheer for because I liked their logo the best! LOL...such a girl, right?! But heck, I picked the winning team!!! Woman's intuition, or what? haha :) I had a great time eating yummy snack foods, popping poppers when we'd score, and chatting with the girls! :)
