California Winter

You know, sometimes I wish I lived in a place where we had distinct seasons...but I just can't help enjoy the fabulous weather we have here year-round in CA! :) My mom and I drove along the coast today, starting in Dana Point and ending in Huntington Beach. We stopped at a few antique stores, ate some lunch at the harbor, and stopped quite a few times so I could take some photos. Good times with mom, and great weather along the coast. I don't think you can beat the CA weather!

Merry Christmas!

Well, this holiday was a little bit different. My mom's boyfriend and his kids came down from WA to celebrate with us the week before Christmas. We had a great time getting to know the Audets. A few days after they arrived, Ray-Ray proposed to my mom, and they were engaged! They haven't set a date yet, but we're gonna start planning a wedding! Crazy! :) - but exciting! We spent a great deal of time eating (or at least talking about food), visiting relatives, froliking on the beach, having a gingerbread house contest, taking tons of pictures, and just hanging out talking. Good times for sure!

Since my mom will be getting married, this will most-likely be our last Christmas in the house I grew up in. That was a bit depressing for me. But I know that bringing the two families together is going to be great, and the new traditions we will start are going to be very special. I hope you all had as special a Christmas as we did!

Karen's 31st Birthday!!

My good friend Karen turned 31 this year,

and we had a great day celebrating her life!

First, we surprised her with a new BBQ in the morning....she loved it! Then we all met at Javier's for an early dinner...chips & salsa baby! Javier's is my favorite! Its HEAVEN!

Then we headed over to the Improve to see Jay Mohr...who is hilarious, by the way!!!

Jay Mohr LIVE folks!!! Can I just tell you how fun it is to meet famous people! I don't know why I love it so much, but I get so excited when I see them. I wasn't supposed to take pictures during his act, but I snuck one anyway! Jay Mohr was great! During his sets, I ran into him 3 times! So awesome! Nikki Cox, his wife, was also there....beautiful as always! Good times!

We had a great night! Good times with friends, laughing and having a fun time. Karen is a special friend and I love her dearly! I'm so blessed to have her friendship! Happy Birthday Karen! Love you bunches!!!!

Happy Resurrection Day!

Spending time with family on holidays is always a good time! The boys were so cute on their egg/toy hunt in Grammy's backyard! We hid the goodies in their secret hideouts! They loved it!

Jake and Zack hunted around the yard, squeezed though the bushes, climbed trees, and had a blast!

Ben had such a great time finding his treasures around the yard with the help of his two big brothers. Jake & Zack were so joyful helping their brother....I think they had more fun than Ben! :) But look at his bag full of goodies!!! Its almost as big as he is!

Lil Sam wasn't able to get around the yard like the older boys, but he had surprises waiting for him in the house....he managed to crawl over there to find them. Just look at his happy little face!

Good times with family! I'm so blessed to have them in my life! I hope you all had a very special Easter this year too!

Linell's Visit....

My good friend Linell and I had a great night out! She flew into town for a few days to visit with her family and I was lucky enough to see her while she was here. We had a great dinner at Banderas in Corona del Mar and then headed down the street to continue our visit at The Landing, where we ran into her sister-in-law and brother-in-law...small world! We visited with them for awhile and then headed home. Its always so good to see her!

I wish she lived in Cali still...hopefully one day she'll move back!

Blades of Glory

If you haven't already seen this movie.....YOU MUST SEE IT! It is hilarious! It is a little naughty, but super funny!! I was able to go to the premier with my good friends Kristy and Carissa. We had the best seats in the house and had a great time together! There's nothing better than spending time with the ones you love! - and seeing a great movie!!

St. Patty's Day!

Oh, I love this day.....
I spent the day in downtown Huntington Beach, with my girly Karen. We had a good time eating lunch, and watching people. Its fun being out with all the people celebrating the day of green! :) hahaha!! There are a few characters out there for sure! Anyway, good times as always!
If I find out you didn't wear green, I'll be on the hunt to give you a few **PINCHES**!!! :)

Mom had a scary surgery!!

Wow, a crazy week! On the 16th, mom had a scheduled MRI because she was having a REALLY BAD headache for 3 weeks straight. So she had the MRI done and the doctor came out and told us that she had a Subduralhematoma (sp?) and we needed to take her to the hospital. They rushed her to ER via ambulance and did some more tests....after the Angiogram they decided to do surgery. Poor mamma had two burr holes drilled into her scull to drain the blood that was on her brain. It had covered 1/3 of her brain and was about an inch thick. The surgery went well, and she is in recovery now.....God is good! Prayers will continually be needed for mom's health. We still do not know the cause of the bleeding, so let's just pray that she was healed and no more bleeding will happen!!!

Oh, and mom had to have her head shaved....she looks hot, even without hair! :) LOVE YOU MOM!!!!

Love & Hearts

Another year without a valentine? Not this year....my friend Brando and I decided to spend the evening together since we had no other plans. We had a nice dinner, after waiting an hour to sit...and then went BOWLING!!! It was so much fun....although, I had a ton of fun cause I won 2 out of 3 games!! It was a great Valentine's!

Big Change!!!

Ok, its official.....I'm a brunette!!!
Yes, that's right - last night I got my hair done and I am now a brunette...but not only that, I got BANGS!!! Can you believe it? I haven't had bangs since I was a little girl! It will take some getting used to, but most people like it so far! So it will be fun for awhile to have a new do....but come summer, be prepared for me to be a blondie again!

At least I tried....

This past weekend was an adventure....

Beth and I set out on Saturday morning for Big Bear to have a fun girly weekend....and to learn how to snowboard. We were so excited the drive up, but by the time we got there practically the whole day was sold out. So we resorted to doing the night lift on the mountain. We got all our gear and hiked to the lift in our big ole boots and locked one foot onto the board. Oh geez, as soon as I did that I started sliding...I knew then that I was in for a shock! So we made it onto the lift and headed up the mountain. We grew more and more nervous as we got closer to the top.....and here it was, time to get off. As I put my board onto the snow to get off the lift, I slid forward and went head first into the snow! Not a good first attempt! And then....I looked up and guess who was there....TIGGER was there to help me up! Pure comedy, let me tell you! So Tigger helped me up and I moved out of the way. It took TWO HOURS for Beth and I to get down the mountain!!! It was not as fun as I had hoped! Beth did great and picked it up pretty fast, but I was struggling! Just trying to stand up without the board sliding out from underneath me was the hardest part! Anyway, we cut the night short and I sold my lift ticket to someone else. I'm glad I tried it, but it was the first and last time I will snowboard. Next time I'm skiiing!! :)

Well, its the start of a new year, can you believe it??? No longer 2006, we now have entered 2007! Time sure does fly!
I brought in the new year with my wonderful family! On New Year's Eve, my mom, sister and her family came over to my lil apartment for a night of family fun! We ate lots of yummy food, watched some movies.....and then at midnight we popped some poppers, made some noise, and toasted the new year! It was a great time! I'm so happy that I was able to start fresh a new year with my family!!
