Pageant of the Masters

Pageant of the Masters
Laguna Beach, CA

Ok, if you haven't seen the Pageant of the Masters before, you MUST go! It is so awesome! This was my fourth time going and it was so GREAT! Its so amazing to see human art!

Pageant of the Masters, Where art comes to life!
Ninety minutes of "living pictures" - incredibly faithful art re-creations of classical and contemporary works with real people posing to look exactly like their counterparts in the original pieces. An outdoor amphitheater, professional orchestra, original score, live narration, intricate sets, sophisticated lighting, expert staff, and hundreds of dedicated volunteers have won recognition for the Pageant as the best presentation of its kind.

So I went to the show with two of my girlfriends, Carissa and Kristy. We had a fun night! We arrived early and spent some time looking around at all the art that was displayed and grabbed some food there (because we were starving). There are so many talented artists! When it was time for the show to begin, we found our seats (um yea, in the nose bleed section!), got out the binoculars, and were ready to see the art come to life. It was amazing! It's so unreal to see people walking around, getting into position, and then when the lights hit they look like the real masterpiece! So insane and beautiful!! That's when the binoculars come in...so you can see their faces to see if they blink! heehee:) Carissa was excited when someone would finally blink :) The theme for the 2008 show was "All The World's A Stage". There were portrayals of sculptures, paintings, some live acting and singing...and just plain beautiful artistry!

Anyway, it was a great night and a great show! I can't wait for next year to see it again!

Definitely good times. Thanks for suggesting it. I loved every minute. Even running into people we thought we knew but didn't. Haha.

I went several years ago and was amazed. Maybe someday I will be back in CA and will get a chance to see it again.
